But I am with you, much easier to tackle the immediate issues via demand as opposed to supply. Whilst looking at systemic issues in taxation, I don't believe you can fix the imbalance between what people make and what a house costs via supply/demand alone.

have you ever developed property? The holding cost during construction can be exorbitant, and simple delays caused by councils can quickly eat into the profit margin.

High risk, high reward as is any similar investment with the same risk profile
