Women who wear the burka are generally oppressed hence why Morocco has banned it. The hijab is fine. Full face head gear is generally banned in public unless you are riding a motorbike, and any robe that covers the whole body and covers the face like the burka be banned (with the exception of those who are in 'burn' suits obviously).

Now lets have a serious debate - answer these questions (yes or no).
1. Does the burka represent an oppression of women.
2. Is the burka worn mainly by women married to more hardline elements of the Islam faith (ISIS for example) where women are treated as second class citizens.
3. Is the burka an appropriate attire in work related occupations and/or security reasons.
4. Is the burka stopping women who have to wear it getting ahead and getting a job? If it is, and they refuse not to wear it i work, should we be paying unemployment benefit/welfare since there is mutual obligation you will seek to work.
5. Was Morocco right in banning the burka.

So happy to hear your thoughts and others here, because as far as I am concerned the burka is on the whole a oppression of women stopping them from gaining meaningful employment.
