In short, meteorologists and scientists in cognate disciplines using their professional skills and knowledge to tell us about the world we live in.
Very few of the wingnuts who deny anthropogenic global warming are prepared to have a serious go at NOAA because none can mount any credible case against the evidence and data. Denial pseudoscience doesn't do research so is reduced to cherry picking, nit picking, bs, look at me noisemaking, obfuscation, etc.
of course there's always a wingnut denier ready to promote their own little conspiracy theory about reds, pinkos, greens, teals, Bill Gates, World Economic Forum and a myriad others subverting science for some imagined cause.
