How they framed it was basically if you had a holding much larger than the amount applied for you got full amount, if your holding was less than or a little above what you applied for you were scaled back.
While it will be disappointing to be scaled back with the price now at a premium to the offer price, could have bought shares under the issue price in the days following the announcement of the placement and there is a fair chance that we trade under the offer price again at some stage over the next 12 months if patient enough to wait for the inevitable dip.

I agree, i decided to support this SPP instead of buying at the lower price. A lesson i learnt the hard way.
