I have wondered about you and how you are doing?!
Life is never easy - just when you think everything is running smoothly along comes fate like a lightning bolt and shatters you. Everyone carries a burden which only they alone can shoulder, believe me, you are not alone. (I am sad about the lambs, too !)
Conscientious people like you are often hard on themselves, are too deliberate, often deny themselves things, are too cautious ...... because 'one never knows' and before you know you are tied up into all sorts of Gordian knots.
I hope you found some lightness and relief and are happily 'living' rather than posting on HC.
