The Levant's indigenous people are the Canaanites going back to 2000 BC. The Arabs rode into town in the 7th century AD with Muslim backpacks. The place has been a war zone starting with the Egyptians in the bronze age, the Romans and the Ottomans and everything in between.
Which says to me you can't trust Italians, Egyptians and Turks .......did I get that right ?
