Even if Hamas is no more, there will be something else for sure, probably even more hell-bent on revenge for what's happening now in Gaza and the West Bank. And it could have been so much different and so much better. All Israelis needed to have done was to include Palestinians in their newly established state in 1948 and treat them as equal, maybe with some limitations on their access to the Knesset in order to counter their majority.

Learn some history.

The local Arabs and Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Jordan and Egypt attacked Israel in 1948 promising to push the Jews into the sea.

The local Arabs had rejected the opportunity of a state in 1947, and have rejected every opportunity since then.
