@raiderup; for decades now I've predicted that Australia's practice of segregating kids into obscenely taxpayer-funded wealthy 'private schools' would create an 'education apartheid'. [ie. the opposite of Menzies' public education 'melting pot' following in the 1950s and 1960s]
That's already playing out as the two thirds of Aussie Battlers' kids crammed into disintegrating, under-staffed and very poorly-resourced public schools act out the alienation and discrimination politicians have dumped onto them.
Small wonder that some develop a 'them and us' outlook relative to their privileged, 'special' counterparts drowning in taxpayer-funding for 'private schools'.
Australia is the worst country on Earth for this education apartheid and by a very long way. It's been running amok for thirty years already and the impact will be corrosive of our society for at least that length of time - even if it's ended tomorrow!
