Six months on and courtesy of the saturation bombing of Gaza by Netanyahu's Regime with missiles, tank shells and bunker-busting bombs a heavy toll will have been taken on those hostages still under the control of Hamas.
Meanwhile many thousands of Palestinian civilians are reported to having been incarcerated without charge, without trial and without evidence as 'terrorists'. Roughly thirty of them have been officially recorded as having died in custody and reports of assaults and even torture of Palestinian prisoners have been reported widely in non-Murdoch media.
New benchmarks for inhumanity have been established and IMO the ICJ will be investigating war crimes for many decades to come even as reverberating recriminations characterise our collective futures.
