MEDIA STATEMENT:ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN ATTACKS ISRAEL
The Australian Jewish Association (AJA) condemnsthe Islamic terrorist attack on Israel launched by the Iranian Regime.
Reports say that hundreds of drones and missileswere fired at Israel. At this stage, Israel appears to have intercepted mostmissiles before they could cause damage. Reports say that one Arab Bedouinchild was injured in the Iranian attack.
AJA CEO Robert Gregory said:
“This was brutal attack on the State ofIsrael and its people.
While the attack may have largelyfailed, there is no doubt that it was intended to kill thousands of innocentpeople.
The AJA supports a massive and crushingresponse. It is time for Israel to strike Iran, including its illegal nuclearfacilities. We urge all decent people to fully back Israel’s response. Failureto do so will invite more Islamic terrorist attacks.
The attack is proof of the completefailure of the policies toward the Iranian Regime taken by the Biden andAlbanese Administrations. The world is a much less safe place under PresidentBiden. In terms of appeasement toward the Iranian Regime, Australia has beenthe weakest link in the West.
The Albanese Government has refused tofollow security advice and proscribe the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp(IRGC) as a terrorist organisation. The Government should also end Australianuniversity academic collaboration with Iran on drone research. It is possiblethat Australian taxpayers have indirectly contributed to attacks like this. AJAmade these submissions to the government some time ago.
We are calling on the AlbaneseGovernment to immediately correct their failed policies and proscribe the IRGCas a terrorist organisation, close Iran’s embassy in Australia and theAustralian embassy in Iran and take serious measures to confront Iranian Regimeaggression.
Hopefully Penny Wong will notrepeat the embarrassing and ignorant advice she gave Israel after it wasattacked on October 7, to ‘show restraint’.
This is a time for all decent people to stand with Israel and the Jewishpeople as they battle Islamic extremism on behalf of the entire Western World.”
