Last time I was in this situation it was CST. Shareholders were paid and the Doctors who invented the TB test were retained by the company that they sold it too.

I hope not (and expect not) to be screwed as badly as that one.

On occasions the acquired receives scrip in the acquirers company which is also usually beneficial but it leaves one with a decision as to whether to dispose and when. At least with cash you have no decision to make.

Then there is the third option where shareholders get reamed by the acquiring company. That’s A40 for example and unfortunately our regulators are as soft as a pensioner’s turd and standby watching the rich and criminal do as they like.

I am excited at the prospects of a fair play here.
