What does "poor in spirit" have to do with the spirit of the Jewish saints in heaven?
The spirit could be always in the kingdom of heaven considering it is God breathed. You probably won't accept that so I won't say the spirit is always in the kingdom of heaven.

Can we stick to the initial subject matter? To sum it up, I wouldn't be surprised if the saints literally did come out of their tombs, and God could have gave a small account of it for the faithful to consider.
