Just had his re-election and must be proud of his win even if it was fixed. Putin waiting for the outcome of US presidential election before next major move. More of the same with Biden or play with the dancing Trump. Loss of Russian and Ukrainian lives not really an issue.......long history of fighting in the region so not a new thing for Russian leaders. Won't destroy territory that is of prime value to Russia with the nuclear bomb as nothing to gain for long term advantage. Could be used to wipe out large city away from Russian boarders or Kiev for strategic advantage like USA in Japan in WW2. Demonstrates Russian capabilities to the world. A lot depends on the unpredictable Trump decisions should he win the Presidency back. War will drag on for another year before any real change unless European countries start to intervene more directly or assassination of one of the leaders or death through health issues or old age for one of the key players.
