I don't understand why you don't talk about the civil war that went on before the spatial military action Russia took .
Then the reaction not by Ukraine but by foreigner powers who have lead Ukraine into their the quest for settlement of a civil war to expand this into a proxy war !
You need either understand the point from Russia having a civil war on its border or you need turn a blind eye to the foreign intervention by governments that have no connection to the borders at all of the two countries .
England turned its back on Europe expansion and left the Euro group .
