Yes...you are ducking and weaving by not providing any detail of your so called olive branch (actually a heavy blood soaked club with spikes on it) and childishly simplistic "Could have been so much different if they had accepted the Russian "olive branch" a few years ago".

Well seeing as you're so reluctant, ignorant ,fearful, unable or unwilling to provide any of the detail here's some of it for you. Not quite as easy, simple or acceptable as you like to deceive yourself or have us believe I think.

I especially love the bit about the guarantor States....getting them to agree to those terms, conditions and commitments would have been as easy as herding cats wouldn't it ! And he would have known that. I don't think he was ever fair dinkum and his track record of honouring undertakings and agreements has shown them to be not worth the paper they're written on.

    Some of Putin's Russia 'demands':

~57% cut in Ukrainian troop levels over January 2022 levels (from ~195k down to 85k).

The piece doesn't say if the 85k would include reservists; if it did, then that would be an even more laughable demand, since total combined active duty and reservist forces in January 2022 were close to 1.1 million, going down to 85k would mean an over 90% reduction

~55% cut in Ukrainian artillery below pre-war levels (from ~1150 down to 519 pieces)

~62% cut in Ukrainian tanks below pre-war levels (from ~900 down to 342)

Complete ban on any Ukrainian missile with a range over 40 kilometers

Complete ban on any imported weaponry in Ukraine

The treaty was to be guaranteed by foreign powers, which are listed on the document as including the U.S., U.K, China, France and Russia. Those countries would be given the responsibility to defend Ukraine’s neutrality if the treaty were violated. But while the treaty held, guarantors would be required to “terminate international treaties and agreements incompatible with the permanent neutrality of Ukraine” including any promises of bilateral military aid. The international security guarantees wouldn’tapply to Crimea and Sevastopol. Every guarantor state (US, UK, France, China, Russia) required to pull out of all treaties and international agreements that allowed arms sales to Ukraine, unless those sales went to Crimea.

All Ukrainian claims against Russia at the International Criminal Court dropped

    All "mutual" sanctions dropped.

Some olive branch that was....and in the midst of aggressive wholesale invasion and throw in the then new revelation of the Bucha atrocities just to add a bit more flavour to the scene.
