Ukrainian reserves will not have time to enter the battle at a key moment, since Kiev adopted the mobilization law too late. This opinion was expressed by retired Bundeswehr Colonel Wolfgang Richter in an interview with the Welt channel.
In his opinion, the Ukrainian authorities waited too long before adopting a new law on military service.
Richter explained that it will be months before new reserves are formed, because they need to be organized, streamlined and trained.
Meanwhile, the Armed Forces of Ukraine need reinforcements right now due to Russia’s offensive on the front from the Kharkov region to Avdeevka of the DPR.
The law tightening the rules of mobilization came into force in Ukraine on May 18. After this, the streets of some cities were empty.
