Because -> John 1:1.............and God was/is the Word -> and God is WORD = Door -> House/Kingdom/Temple -> Head = LORD God Almighty, Father Yehowah.

God IS Spirit the Holy and his words are his Spirit/Person expressed, hence you CANNOT corrupt his words = Person.

He gave Jesus his words without measure, so when he expressed them out, he Became the Express Image of God's Person = WORD, The Word. Heb 1:3.
And Jesus expressing out the words of God in John 14:10, says hearing them, is deemed as seeing the Father = Spiritually.

Jesus says, I am in the Father, he also says, in my Fathers house (word) and Jesus is now the Door to this House officially after the taring of the curtain upon his death and named The Word of God.
John 10:9 - I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. = The word of God.

Here is why people are arguing -> 10:1 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

Jesus is the vine and we are the branches, and guess what, there are vine dressers under The god of wine, chomp, chomp, cutting the Thief's off , which you call arguing.

The God that Jesus spoke about was his higher self, God did speak to Jesus but it was coming from his past and future self, known as his higher self, but this should not be confused with the fact that all timelines are happening all at the same time, everything is in the now, I am.
God is spirit, as we all are, as we are all God.
We are all the image of God as we are all of the light that God is, we are made of light, the light that God is, we are part of that light, a particle of God.
There is not one God because God separated itself into two unequal parts before the smaller part of God fractured into all the beings animals insect minerals and plants, this is what Jesus was explaining, but his words were recorded incorrectly.
In regards to Jesus words can not be corrupted, his words already have been corrupted by those who wrote and recorded his words incorrectly in scripture and other religious books.
