Re Druffy post : I also went thro' the 'consolidation' years ago which was probably the right commercial decision at the time although I didn't like it.
My view now is that the NEU executives are already focussing on many challenging financial and technical issues. Doing a share-split would surely be a distraction they could do without (unless it's already factored into a secret plan !).
