"at times".............. my 1st of many SVLOB buys was on 2nd Oct 2018. I bought 1,000,000 for $8,019.95 i.e. 0.0080 each plus brokerage. But you are quite right options can often turn against you. If the heads are at least twice the exercise price at expiry date, then you have done well.
