He said that they would have to see how the trial was proceeding timewise & if they were making good progress he would be allowed to attend his son's graduation. Trump's tactics have always been delay, delay, delay so it was a rather smart response by the judge.
So the ball's in Trump's court. Don't delay the trial & make frivolous motions & you can go to the graduation, waste the court's time & you can't.
