Australian government announced today an extra $400 million funding for more drones for the ADF.
Whilst DRO is counter drone technology, the announcement is still significant.
It shows the growing need for drones in the military sphere. Likewise unfriendly countries will also be investing in more drones for their militaries.
As unfriendly countries invest more in drones, rival countries are forced to invest more in counter drone technology.
And so the cycle goes round and round! Similar to the chicken and the egg scenario. More drones and hence the growing need for counter technology.
