To be honest the reason why I brought up this discussion topic is because I'm the worst at tracking my expenses. It's usually more of a case at tax time of "Oh yeah I paid for computer repair, where is that receipt?". So I want to be more diligent and organised when it comes to this stuff.
I've made a start by printing out a receipt for a charity fundraiser.
Other deductions I've claimed in the past are:
Stationery
Tech - new computer etc...
MS Office subscription
Computer repair
Last year I wanted to go to the ATAA (Australian Technical Analysts Association) conference in Sydney but things came up. I'm thinking of going this year and reckon I can claim it as a deduction.
