here are some more facts.
According to statistics, China imports Mongolian coal mainly through Ceke Port and Ganqimaodao Port(32. million tons last year, biggest Mongolian port by far).
to HEBEI steel mills region is 2000kms and 1300kms though mountains. typical Chinese coal freight carrys 3000-3600 tons,
from port Newcastle to port JingTao is about 8500kms typical Aussie shipment is 70'000 tons. port JingTang imported 87 million tons first 5 months of last year including Chinese New Year (8 days holiday) and was just the restart of Aussie imports.
there are no comparison what so ever both on size or efficiency.
Mongolian's can ramp up their production as much as they want, but there are no ports no roads no railways can support them though inland China. they are cutting though the most populated regions in China, how are they going to do it?
