Jamie the stress of worrying about the imagined dangers of EMF would be a far greater hazard to your health than the actual EMF caused by an EV but just a few points to ponder.
1) DC current doesn't produce EMF so sitting on top of the batteries of an EV and the charging of them doesn't contribute any EMF to the environment.
2) Spark plugs in an ICE are effectively just very high voltage AC and do produce high EMF.
3) Your whole house is run on AC power, every time you turn on an appliance you are bathed in EMF.
4) The power of EMF declines with the square of the distance but unfortunately you most likely put a high EMF transmitter within millimetres of your brain many times every day, its your mobile phone.
5) The only type of EMF proven to cause harm to life is ionising radiation, you will get that from an unshielded microwave oven or by standing in front of a high power radio transmitter.
6) The only way you could be shielded from all EMF in todays world would be to encase yourself in a properly grounded faraday cage 24/7.
