I would have agreed with you before, that's for sure ----------- but, I think there's now a clear level of reluctance in this government
whether it's enough to stand and say 'no, not this time' ---------- I don't know
things have changed a lot in the last years ------------ America has now more attachments in Australia and to Australia
the does NOT mean that Australia is less powerful than it was before - it can mean that Australia has MORE power than before
IF they choose to use it.
The evidence for that is Europe and American bases -------- if looks at the sentiment and bum kissing of Europe to Americans and military bases of years ago - and now goes to base towns ----
it's a very different story to how the yanks are viewed AND treated
we wait
I think that we should not forget that America needs Australia probably more than Australia needs America in the pacific
where else are they going to go to plonk large bases? ----------- certainly not NZ
