I see your point. But Biden and Trump have numerous immediate and extended family members.
So, while it's true that neither AIPAC nor other powerfull lobby groups, who run America, could do much damage to these two elderly individuals, they could exact their revenge on all other family members.
In other words, Biden and Trump have no choice but do what they are told by these who we don't see.
