We should work with our strengths and not our weaknesses.
Revenue from hi-tec such as robotics is dependant of pattern & IP
royalties. China does not recognise neither IP or patents so why bother?
Our best bet is to process our minerals.
We have cheap minerals (we ship them raw to China, Japan & Korea)
We have cheap coal (we ship it to China, Japan & Korea
We have cheap LNG (we ship it to China, Japan & Korea)
We have the timber on the Chinese, Japs & Koreans in these
3 key areas but we are too stupid to realise where our strengths are.
Instead we have ridiculous proposals like robotics.
