given the ongoing and UN-declared illegal settlements in WB, Israel has been intent on damaging Arabs living on their traditional lands sustainably. Israel has even armed settlers enabling them to attack local Arabs and ordered the IDF to support settlers, granting murders by settler immunity from prosecution.
this is so like the US rail-line land wars. illegal and destructive, making enemies of their local neighbours.
with this in mind we can see that Israel has constructed their own problems of survival by creating a hatred that didn't exist pre-Zionist activities.
