I agree with that view. Regardless of what one thinks of Netanyahu the world has, because of the follow up events, rewarded Hamas. They may not understand that but it is simple behavioural operant conditioning - stimulus, action, reward.
so the world has given a very clear message, in my view, that their views on Israel will allow them to overlook acts of terrorism
given the Hamas position on Israel I think that we will see an unleashing of power that will be ugly
and all those who have gleefully sought the end of Israel and the victory of Palestine, will find themselves faced with a question of how much their current distaste is over genocide or more a matter of Jew hating
and once that is done I think the rest of the world will find that appeasement of those with a cause serves little purpose other then to embolden.
