I have just started a book on modern world history from 1780-1955.
This is the first time I have been able to concentrate on a book for a few years.
It really interests me, because I was originally from England and we were farmers.
So far I have learned that Jethro Toll is not just a band But invented the drill and row system in Norfolk before the enclosures.
This was after the Dutch drained the fens, which swamped before.
This enabled peasants and the gentry to grow root crops more effectively, whereas before beasts were either killed in the autumn or kept in almost starvation through the winter.
I am going off topic and probably boring everyone to death.
Yes I am a music lover of all genres.
Some may think they/we are poor now, but it is nothing compared to what happened during that period, very interesting.
