He is already sitting pretty with the shares to be issued (with settlement at T + a hundred over days) at a humble A30c a share; now he’s waiting for some interested parties to come along if and when (more the latter) approval for SR-aGVHD for kids is given, to put a rocket under the share price by showing interest in some shape or form.
What he’s doing is not just a signalling move - I believe he sees lasting value in his purchase and the ability of and value in the company remaining independent. Remember he was CEO of another biotech, so he has clearly got a good handle of the commercial chance of success of the few indications under consideration or which are entering the race.
This is a great chess move.
