    Hi @DoubleDown!

There is a difference between water from the formation and water injected into the formation due to the fracking process. The Sycamore in this location apparently doesn't have much water in it.

So the water from the flow back should be the fracking water, which can be as much as 4 million gallons or ~100,000 barrels that is injected into the formation to frack it. That number is more a generic number, I am not aware of how much water will be used to frack the Jewell but should be around that magnitude.

There is a chance that the fracking water may be the first fluids that return to the well bore, and as more water is returned the % of hydrocarbons increases and eventually the well stabilizes at maximum production of hydrocarbons. There also is a good chance that oil and gas will flow pretty well from the start of the flowback period which is why they want the production facilities done first and fast before the well is completed and ready to flow flowback.

The rate of water flowback is not representative of the hydrocarbon flow as far as I am aware. It's not that the water flow can be 5000 BWPD for example and then that will mean there will be an oil flow of 5000 BOPD when the flowback is completed. The pressure generated by the stimulation is tremendous and the frack spaces want to close under the formation pressure from the weight which is why they use sand to keep them open.

The IP24 figure represents the first 24 hours of commercial production and is an important figure which helps set the decline curve, along with the Ip30, 60 and 90 numbers and is usually the highest flow rate. Having said that , some wells do increase production briefly past the IP 24 rate. All this will be revealed in hopefully less than 2 months .

    Hope that helps

    Cheers

    Dan
