    That is the situation now. A mistake to think such will always be the case.

    In the 1980's it looked like Japanese were going to buy up everything here. Now they are largely totally gone and there is zero speculative fever from them.

    Typically, the lessons of history are not learnt by new chums and instead we have the Chinese now doing similar things some decades later. Their reasons are a little different however - they just want to get $$ away from their govt as their govt is prone to simply taking their $$ off them one way or another.
