Every forecast from almost every analyst has been spectacularly wrong (both bulls and bears).
I don't think I've ever seen anyone reliably and consistently forecast lithium prices.
As for GS - here is their 2024 forecast which was reported in Jun 2023. They said the floor would be $1,800/t (so they've ended up wrong by a significant amount (to the downside).
"Goldman Sachs says the lithium market is expected to move into a ‘high surplus phase’ over 2024-25 on new supply entering the market and expect spodumene prices to fall as low as US$1,800 a tonne (from spot US$4,000) next year."
