On Aug 24th they they changed the completion date from Aug 10 to Aug 31 ... so, they may have been anticipating the patent approval. It may be obvious to some but one may still ask the question, if this postponement of completion (by weeks, days) is related to the anticipation of patent approval (?)

Jan 2018, 126(anticipated)
July 2018, 96(anticipated)
June 2019, 84(anticipated)
Jan 2020, 88(Actual - Stopped recruiting - likely due to covid (?) )
Study completion date has been pushed back a number of times from initial Oct 2020 to Aug 2021. This is likely a good thing - because it means the study was continuing and no serious adverse effect was observed or significant to report which in trials terms is good news meaning those who are surviving are doing ok .... perhaps. I hope! So, it is all about numbers when they come out and I have a feeling they will be out soon-ish ... perhaps. I hope!

For those who are not familiar with trials: recruitment usually finishes quite some time before the completion of study. This is to allow following up on the last patient recruited for a set period of time. For this trial: 24 months (primary outcome) and 3 years (for secondary outcome).
