Interesting through the article, they make reference to a number of many of the readers and writers, but only to ALKBH5 not FTO, when looking into the mechanics of m6a and viral factors. Most articles looking into m6a tend to find FTO as a central to the implicated condition/pathology in question, but I guess this just goes to show how complex and multifactorial epigenetics is.
