Australia is now going to be an important player part of the green energy global transition.

The multiplier effect this is going have on the economy as a whole is going to be enormous.

As I highlighted in my previous post, Fortescue have achieved FID status for three projects with more to follow. Keeping things at "home", the company have their in house green energy iron plant project at FID stage ahead of peers. What do you think this is going to mean for that project alone? Fast scale up for one and it's going to have a ripple effect across so many sub-sectors.

That's where I see this budgets incentive package having the most impact not just in house but will potentially set Fortescue up as the green iron player center stage worldwide.

As for Fortescue's prospective pipeline of green hydrogen projects in Australia, what these incentives are going to do is help make these projects reach commercial viability a lot sooner. It's going to potentially bring in strategic investment partners home, offtakers to the table, and more importantly it's going to keep business and investment in Australia.
