Since 1949 western punters have been predicting the
economic failure of China based on politics; not economics.
So far those prophets of doom have been wrong.
Since the fall of the USSR in 1991 those prophets of doom
have renewed focus on China and continued the negative China mantra.
IMO this recent bout of "China doomed to fail" is nothing different.
But of course the overall Chinese economic stats are better than
the global average and much better than that of Western Economies.
So one has to conclude that these prophets of Chinese doom are
referring to the political collapse of China and given the political
structure of China there are no signs o that evident.
So in conclusion , these prophecies are merely wishful thinking, IMO.
Just have a look at China's trade over the past few years despite US
attempts to sabotage that:
NB: 2022 stats were generated during China's Covid Total Lockdowns &
IMO, 2023 & 2024 figures will be better
