Andy Home from Reuters is a great choice for those new to the tin market. He has dedicated decades to understanding Tin's backstory. One of the few solitary voices speaking for the few who cared to listen.This video is worth a listen. It gets going on Tin at approx. 6 minutes in. Link to video.
Also, the biggest corruption case in Indonesia's history has now hit mainstream news and is being reported on by the ABC – Full story. The enormous scale of the alleged theft has shocked Indonesians. The country has been plagued by dozens of high-level corruption scandals in recent years, often involving the heads of state-owned companies, banks, and members of parliament but this latest scandal, involving the alleged misuse of Tin mining permits may lead to real change.
They now realise that the problem will keep happening until they develop the tools to supervise properly the mining permits after they are granted. Hopefully putting a light on it and exposing the corruption in the way that they are will lead to real change this time round. Time will tell.
A fairer system for Tin seems to be here to stay.
