It is highly relevant as we have a whole pillar (Pillar 3) based around pursuing new opportunities in the broader m6A RNA space.
Nobody has shown before that inhibiting FTO can reverse the inhibition of insulin release that occurs in Type 2 Diabetes. Race happens to have the only clinically ready drug that can target FTO. It is not if Type 2 diabetes is a small medical issue.
If we had done this work as a bit of a scientific lark ("lets see what Zantrene does in diabetes”) we would have probably have had to go into a trading halt as soon as we received the results. If the same data comes from an independent group with zero vested interest in the result and having passed scientific peer review it is of no importance to our shareholders???
