You war mongering Imperialism lovers are making the absurd ahistorical comparisons, calling Putin a communist/fascist/hitler/stalin or whatever is the latest nasty word you found in the MSM. Therefore it is not a diversion to counter your fake news and ridiculous comparisons with historic fact.
Which is that yes, I agree with you that the Russian military has seen very little combat in the past 50 years.. Because Russia is not expansionist and is not seeking global or even European domination, and therefore comparisons with Hitler are absurd.
Whereas in fact the US and US/NATO have been at war, pounding entire countries, cities, towns and villages into rubble non-stop for thirty years. Which is far closer to Hitler and his insane dreams of global domination .
It is the US/NATO military alliance which has crept ever eastward, surrounding Russia, like Hitler. It is the US/NATO military alliance which put military assets on Russia's border and used fascist groups to overthrow the elected government of Ukraine. It is the US/NATO military alliance which arms and trains Ukraines fascist Azov battalion.
By refusing to keep Ukraine neutral, by refusing to even discuss Russia's security concerns, US/NATO put Ukraine into play, and this war is the tragic outcome of US/NATO's Hitler like expansionism.
