It is almost laughable how the West underestimated Russia’s ability to transform its economy in just over 2 years. It has not been all smooth sailing for Russia, but very few countries in the world would be able to do economically what Russia has done under critical circumstances.
Sanctions + popular uprising in Russia and ousting of Putin was a wishful thinking, and not even a properly analyzed plan by Washington. That has backfired spectacularly , and unfortunately there is no plan B which could save the States from a complete defeat of their foreign policy with a far reaching consequences.
‘As long as we can’ is all that’s left, while a slow and painful destruction of Ukraine continues. No air defence for them, but plenty for Israel.
