Anyone who takes any valuation provided by an analyst serious needs a quick kicking behind the bike shed. There are no non-conflicted analysts in the Australian market - for better or worse there is no market for independent analyst coverage here.
Having said this, analyst reports should be taken very seriously as they provoke a great background information that can be used by investors to build their own valuation model. Analyst reports are gold as long as you ignore the valuations.
